Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre
The Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre Westmead is based at Westmead Hospital, and serves a large area across Western Sydney, which is home to more than one million people.
The Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre Westmead is a purpose built state of the art facility which matches anything in the world.
Completed in December 2007 and built at a cost of $27 million, the Centre provides fully integrated research, prevention, diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation programs for patients and families coping with cancer.
Our Centre has been a leader in establishing multidisciplinary teams for improving patient care. These teams aim to discuss all new cancer cases that occur in our area. This means that every patient has the benefit of the expertise of many different specialists – without having to physically see them all.
We are affiliated with the University of Sydney and the University of Western Sydney and place a high importance upon training the next generation of doctors and other health professionals.
