- Youth health is a free, voluntary service provided to young people aged 12- 24 years of age
- Services are provided to young people who frequent / live / work / study in the WESTERN SYDNEY Local Health District (Parramatta, Cumberland, The Hills, Blacktown and Mt Druitt)
- There are two youth health service sites in Western Sydney:
- High Street Youth Service

- Western Area Adolescent Team

- No Medicare card is required (except for oral health clinic and pathology)
- The primary target group is young people who are marginalised, disadvantaged or at risk, with a particular focus on young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
- Youth Health has a focus on preventing harm and injury, physical health and nutrition, mental health, sexual health and alcohol / other drug use, including tobacco
- In the interests of ongoing health care, referrals from Ministry of Health service providers are asked to provide relevant health information to support this referral (ie: discharge summary, current medication, assessments, treatment plans, safety plans)
