COVID Safe Practice

All patients seeking dental care must have pre-booked appointments. To make an appointment, please contact the Call Centre on 02 88906766. If you are however experiencing facial swelling, uncontrolled bleeding, or facial trauma, please attend the centre without delay.

In the interests of the safety of our patients and staff, we are screening everyone entering our Oral Health clinics.

Screening Questions:

1. Do you have COVID-19 now, or had COVID-19 in the last 10 days? 

  • If No, proceed to next question.
  • If Yes, answer these questions. Tell clinic staff before your visit.

2. OR are you a Close Contact* of someone who has had COVID-19 in the last 7 days? 

  • If No, proceed to next question.
  • If Yes, answer these questions. Tell clinic staff before your visit.

*What is a close contact?

3. Do you have any COVID-19 symptoms?

  • These are:
    • Fever
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath
    • Chills
    • Body aches
    • Sore or Scratchy throat
    • Headache
    • Runny nose
    • Muscle pain
    • Vomiting
    • Diarrhoea
    • Loss of taste or smell
  • If No, proceed to next question.
  • If Yes, answer these questions. Tell clinic staff before your visit.

4. Have you been overseas in the past seven days? 

  • If No, proceed to next question.
  • If Yes, answer these questions. Tell clinic staff before your visit.

5. Do you have a COVID-19 vaccination, or vaccination exemption? 

  • If Yes, proceed.
  • If No, tell clinic staff before your visit.

If you have COVID symptoms, please do not attend your appointment, please get tested and isolate until you have a negative result – even if you are fully vaccinated. Your appointment will be rescheduled if you are unwell.

Upon arrival:

  • You will be asked some screening questions
  • You will be asked to scan in using the Service NSW QR code
  • You must wear a surgical mask correctly, covering your nose and mouth, on entry and for the duration of the visit.
  • For patients attending an oral health appointment:
    • a rapid antigen test may be required prior to the dental procedure
    • a medical certificate may be required if medically cleared from Covid-19.

For visitors:

If you require assistance during your appointment, one (1) adult can attend with you if this accompanying person:

  • has had 2 doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine (1 dose for J&J/Janssen Vaccine)
  • has evidence of their vaccination status when they enter the facility or a medical exemption

Other documents required for appointment:

  • Centrelink Card*
  • Medicare Card
  • Photo ID (passport, driver’s licence or State ID card)
  • Medical Summary (if available)

*A Centrelink card is required for all adult public dental patients. If you are unsure about whether you require a Centrelink card for your appointment, please contact the phone number on your appointment letter or SMS reminder.
