Special Care Dentistry
We care for the oral health of people with special needs.
What we do
We provide a range of on-site and outreach specialist dental services for people with special needs.
Our work also includes residential aged care facilities in the Western Sydney Local Health District area and an oral health education program for carers and allied health staff.
Our dental service can be performed with:
- local anaesthesia
- nitrous oxide sedation (relative analgesia)
- intra-venous sedation
- general anaesthesia.
Who we care for
We care for all NSW residents who have one or more of the following:
- intellectual disability
- physical disability
- neurodegenerative disease
- complex medical condition
- mental illness
- dental anxiety and dental phobia.
