Research, education & training
The sexual health medicine academic team at the University of Sydney Medical School has a long history of excellence in teaching and research in sexual health and HIV.
We offer a successful and growing Master’s program in Sexual and Reproductive Health. We also coordinate the sexual health medicine curriculum for the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
Our academics provide clinical services and outstanding exposure to specialist trainees, helping them to gain experience in the prevention and treatment of STIs at three large publicly funded sexual health clinics in Sydney.
Western Sydney Sexual Health Centre - which incorporates the Parramatta and Mount Druitt Sexual Health Clinics, and the Sexually Transmitted Infections Research Centre at Sydney University - offers diverse sexual and reproductive health postgraduate coursework and research programs. We welcome enquiries from people wishing to study or work with us.
You can get involved by:
- undertaking a PhD, a MPhil, or a student placement

- participating in ongoing research activities including clinical trials.
