The Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) is an evidence based public health program that aims to prevent the transmission of blood borne viruses such as HIV and Hepatitis C amongst People who Inject Drugs (PWID).
The NSP is a free and confidential service that provides a range of injecting equipment in a variety of different settings including over the counter, automatic vending machines, internal dispensing chutes and outreach.
Parramatta Sexual Health Clinic is a secondary NSP outlet that provides a limited range of injecting equipment, provides sharps disposal services and facilitates referrals to primary NSP outlets.
