Dr Indika Alahakoon
Dr Indika Alahakoon [MBBS, PhD, FRANZCOG, DDU, CMFM] is Head of Department of the Westmead Institute for Maternal Fetal Medicine and Director at the Centre for Women’s Ultrasound.
Dr Alahakoon graduated with first class Honours at the Sydney Medical School (Sydney University) and is Clinical Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, completing a PhD on the role of monocytes and angiogenic factors in the cause of fetal growth restriction and pre-eclampsia, in 2007 Dr Alahakoon was awarded the Ella Macknight Research Scholarship from the RANZCOG Research Foundation for this work.
Dr Alahakoon has been involved in numerous research projects examining structural anomalies in the fetus, fetal growth restriction, stillbirth and pre-eclampsia. She speaks fluent Sinhalese.

Dr Karen Mizia
Dr Karen Mizia [MBBS, RANZCOG, BSc(Hons), MPH, DDU, COGU] is a Senior Staff Specialist in the Fetal Welfare Laboratory. She is a subspecialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecological Ultrasound and a Clinical Lecturer with Sydney University. She completed her medical training through Sydney University and prior to joining Westmead, has worked in fetal medicine at The Royal Hospital for Women and The Canberra Hospital. Dr Mizia is currently the chair of the NSW RANZCOG committee and president elect of the Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine. She is actively involved in education, with a special interest in improving standards of care and communication. Her clinical interest lies with improving the detection of fetal anomalies, genetic disorders and syndromes in pregnancy.

Dr Kathryn Graham
Dr Kathryn Graham [BMedSc(Hons), MBBS, FRANZCOG, DDU, COGU] is a Staff Specialist in Westmead Institute for Maternal and Fetal Medicine (MFM). She is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist with subspecialty qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecological Ultrasound. Kathryn completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney and her obstetrics & gynaecology specialist training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA). Since that time, she has worked in the fetal medicine units at RPA and Westmead Hospitals, in addition to in the private sector. She is an examiner for the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and has published research in Obstetric Ultrasound. Kathryn has a special interest in fetal anomalies and is committed to providing high level clinical care to her patients in a compassionate and understanding way.
