Rent & deposits

Rental fees

  • 1 bedroom units ($335 per week)*
  • 2 bedroom units ($375 per week)*
  • 4 bedroom units ($450 per week)*
  • shared 4 bedroom units ($118 per person per week)*
  • undercover car space ($25 per week)*

Payment of rent

  • for staff, rent must be deducted from a member’s salary
  • for long stay tenants, rental tax invoices will be issued fortnightly and must be paid by the due date
  • for short stay tenants, all rent must be paid up-front within 48 hours of receiving the booking confirmation, otherwise the booking will be cancelled.

Payment of deposit

All long term tenants must pay six weeks deposit within 48 hours of receiving the booking confirmation, otherwise the booking will be cancelled.

This amount is fully refundable on vacating (with four weeks notice) providing units are left spotless, there is no damage and keys are returned.

This amount may not be put against rent payments.

All rent must be fully paid by the vacated date.

Tenants responsibilities

Tenants are expected to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in their unit at all times.

Notice to vacate

When vacating:

  • the accommodation office requires 28 days notice in writing by completing a Notice to Vacate Westmead Hospital Accommodation Complex form. Otherwise, the deposit will not be refunded
  • all rent must be paid in full prior to vacating and units/rooms must be left clean & tidy, otherwise the deposit may not be refunded
