The environment we live in affects our health and wellbeing. “Environmental health” covers factors in the environment that affect human health such as air quality, clean drinking water, good hygiene, pest and disease control, and safe housing – these are all important to our overall health.

The Centre for Population Health’s Public Health Unit focuses on environmental exposures which cause adverse health impacts, as well as fostering health-supportive environments.
