Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)

NRT helps with your nicotine addiction and feelings of withdrawal, without the other harmful chemicals found in cigarettes and vapes.

You can purchase NRT widely; the cost can be subsidised if you are prescribed NRT through a GP or medical professional.

While you are pregnant, trying to quit without the use of NRT is recommended. However, if you are unable to quit, NRT might help. Nicotine at any level can be harmful to a baby but using NRT is considered safer than smoking.

Speak to your midwife, GP or health professional today about what is best for you.
