Children and families

Aboriginal Go4Fun is a FREE program for Aboriginal children 7-13 years old who are above a healthy weight range and their families. We also welcome siblings of participants who may not be within that age range - we want the whole family to enjoy Aboriginal Go4Fun!

It’s a fun way to build self-esteem and learn about eating well, staying active and living a healthy life as a family.

During the program, children:

  • Play fun games including traditional Indigenous games
  • Learn about healthy eating and enjoy healthy snacks
  • Make new friends
  • Build healthy habits
  • Receive a Go4Fun t-shirt

Parents and carers get support and expert advice on:

  • Healthier eating habits including practical activities preparing healthy snacks
  • Physical activity
  • Reducing screen time
  • Role modelling and problem solving.

The 10-week Aboriginal Go4Fun programs was developed in partnership with Aboriginal communities and is delivered by Kimberwalli together with NSW Health.
