The Centre for Population Health aims to promote and protect the health of all people living within the boundaries of Western Sydney Local Health District. We do this by delivering health promotion, prevention and protection programs, and creating healthy environments to improve health outcomes and reduce avoidable hospitalisations.

Our workforce is drawn from a range of disciplines with expertise and skills in public health, health promotion, health equity, epidemiology, applied research, program development and evaluation, social marketing and communications, community engagement and capacity building.

We have a diverse, evidence-based program of work, with priorities determined by State and Commonwealth strategic directions, the District’s Strategic Plan, local data and needs.

Our vision

People who live, work, learn, play, and age in Western Sydney are healthy and well.
