Outpatient services - general musculoskeletal service

Physiotherapists working in the musculoskeletal outpatient department are highly qualified and trained in the individual assessment and treatment of a wide variety of conditions.

General and post-operative services

Our physiotherapists provide outpatient services for a wide variety of general and post-operative conditions including orthopaedic, breast cancer and spinal surgeries; fracture management, osteoarthritis, spinal pain and upper & lower limb conditions.

Specialty services

Specialty physiotherapy services are also provided for the management of pregnancy related pelvic girdle and low back pain, cancer rehabilitation, jaw & facial pain disorders and chronic pain management.

Group services

Group services are designed to assist with the ongoing management of certain conditions. Groups include:

  • back group
  • hip and knee group
  • breast cancer exercise group.

Hours of service

The outpatient service operates Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Eligibility

All patients must have a medical referral in order to be seen. Referrals are treated in order of severity of the presenting condition.

Patients must be over 15 years of age.

Fees

Patients without a Medicare card will be charged a fee in excess of $110.00 per visit. The fee must be paid before treatment can commence.
