Inpatient services - orthopaedics & trauma service

Physiotherapy services are provided to:

• orthopaedic / trauma ward
• trauma high dependency ward
• pre-admission clinic – orthopaedics
• day only surgery – orthopaedics
• fracture clinics
• acute assessment unit – orthopaedics.

Physiotherapy services include:

• acute treatment following fractures / trauma
• rehabilitation following fractures / trauma
• education in pre-admission and as part of the rehabilitation process
• casting and splinting needs for orthopaedic and trauma patients.
