University General Practice

We are building the future dental workforce

General dental treatment is provided to eligible patients by senior students working towards a Doctor of Dental Medicine or Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy university degree.

All dental treatment delivered by students is under the direct supervision of qualified dentists, specialist dentists and oral health therapists.

We partner with university education providers to offer all aspects of routine dental care (including dental implants) using the latest technology and techniques in dentistry.

Our experienced dental assistants will help to ensure your comfort and specific needs are catered for during your visit with us.

Your general dental treatment may include:

  • A detailed check-up, including x-rays, and tooth cleaning
  • Treatment of gum disease
  • Preventative care such as fluoride treatment, tooth sealants, home care and dietary advice
  • Fillings and root canal therapy
  • Crowns, bridges and dentures
  • Night guards (bite splints)
  • Dental implants (in selected cases)
  • Tooth extractions
  • Referrals to specialist dentists and other community health practitioners and programs
