Laing+Simmons raise more than $23K for Westmead health and research

Last year, Laing+Simmons Parramatta committed to donate $300 from every property it sold in the second half of 2016 to Westmead Medical Research Foundation (WMRF).
Well, the campaign was a huge success, raising a staggering $23,400 for critical care and medical research at Westmead.
Laing+Simmons Parramatta principal Ray Fayad said he was thrilled the agency had been able to raise funds for such a worthy cause.
“It’s immensely satisfying to be able to support WMRF in this way, in recognition of the vital role it plays in providing critical care and life-saving research for people in need,” he said.
“As soon as we announced our plan to donate to Westmead, the support we received from local people flooded in; this campaign was our way of giving back to the local community we’ve been part of for the past 21 years. It’s also reminded us how much we value being part of the community and we look forward to calling ourselves locals for many years to come.
Westmead Medical Research Foundation Partnerships Manager Susie Saba said the support of local companies like Laing+Simmons Parramatta was inspiring.
“The key to any impact we can make as a foundation relies on the generosity of individuals and businesses coming together," she said.
"It is humbling to see what can be achieved when communities unite to help make a difference. We are so appreciative of the support from Laing + Simmons Parramatta and its community. These funds will give more people access to the best possible treatment and care."
