Westmead Hospital was thrilled to this week receive $27,000 from the Westmead Medical Research Foundation (WMRF) for much-needed research into heart disease.

The money was raised by the Arab Bank Australia during their inaugural charity golf day in September last year and then donated to WMRF.

The bank are already busy planning the next charity golf day, in support of the foundation.

Arab Bank Australia CEO Joseph Rizk, along with Mr Nassif, handed over the cheque to Westmead Hospital cardiologist and researcher Dr Eddy Kizana on January 28, ahead of Heart Research month in February.

Arab Bank Australia has been supporting health care and research at Westmead for more than 20 years.
