Constance Webb from Pendle Hill will attend Westmead Hospital's healthy ageing forum
Seniors are encouraged to attend a free healthy ageing community forum at Westmead Hospital on Wednesday 19 August 2015 from 6.30pm – 8.30pm.
The event will provide valuable health advice on how elderly people can lead a high quality of life and take an active part in society.
Geriatricians, a dietician, physiotherapist and representative from Alzheimer’s Australia will provide the latest information and research on a range of health and lifestyle issues.
The specialists will address healthy eating, active living, independence, quality of life and good practices to improve wellbeing of older people.
Westmead Hospital geriatrician Dr Andrew Evans said older people can continue to live full and active lives.
“Healthy ageing is about optimising opportunities for good health.
“Each person can remain physically, mentally, emotionally and socially engaged,” said Dr Evans.
“Our experts will be on hand at the forum so feel free to ask questions about how you can boost your health and wellbeing.”
To RSVP phone 8890 7983. Refreshments will be provided.
