Innovations in healthcare, piloted by staff in the Western Sydney Local Health District, were on show on Tuesday for the district’s annual Quality Awards.
The projects, spread across seven categories, were displayed at a showcase at Westmead Hospital in the morning and Blacktown Hospital in the afternoon.
Staff got the chance to vote for their favourite project before acting chief executive Carrie Marr cut a cake to mark the occasion.
The winners will be announced at the district’s annual public meeting in October.
