Leading health minds gather for 2015 Hospital Week

19 Aug 2015

Westmead Hospital was buzzing with talk of Botox for bladders, the future of pain and a first-hand account from the field on the Ebola crisis as part of 2015 Hospital Week.

Some of the country’s most prominent health experts converged on the hospital on August 19 for the first day of the three-day event, which will include talks on a number of health issues.

Australia’s leading medical minds will deliver more than 100 presentations on the latest techniques in geriatrics, surgery, neuroscience, nursing, physiotherapy, oncology and radiography.

The week will also feature social events, along with a display of more than 70 companies and their products.

Westmead Hospital general manager Andrew Newton said Hospital Week highlights the facility’s role as a premier teaching institution.

“We’re proud to host a stellar line-up of industry leaders,” he said.

The events continue on Thursday and Friday.
