Winter weather hits Sydney

Prolonged exposure to the cold can cause some health problems, so be sure to look after yourself by following these tips:

  • Stay hydrated. Drinking throughout the day is the best strategy in any season
  • Beware of icy surfaces to avoid falls
  • Dress appropriately. Layer your clothing!
  • Eat well. Keep your immune system in shape!
  • Quit smoking. Smokers are more susceptible to respiratory infections
  • Get vaccinated against the flu – this jab provides 12 months of cover against major strains
