GWS Giants spread Easter cheer at Westmead Hospital

22 Apr 2014

GWS Giants players Tom Boyd, Josh Kelly, Jake Barrett and Cam McCarthy visited Westmead Hospital to spread some Easter cheer last week.

Arriving in Easter hats and armed with a basket of chocolate eggs, the players visited Westmead Hospital's Adolescent Ward where they met with patients.

The players also popped into Westmead Hospital's Maternity Ward, where they met a newborn baby and signed him up for a membership!

The visit from the Giants was part of the club's commitment to the community through the Slater & Gordon Gentle Giants program.

Giants Chief Executive David Matthews said, "We know visits by players to hospitals not just help brighten people's day but also help establish meaningful connections for years to come. The Slater & Gordon Gentle GIANTS aims to achieve both these objectives."
