Anxiety Treatment and Research Unit

The Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) Anxiety Treatment and Research Unit is one of the few remaining specialist treatment facilities for anxiety and obsessive-compulsive related disorders in NSW. The service provides comprehensive psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based treatment for adult consumers residing within WSLHD who have a primary diagnosis of an anxiety disorder or an obsessive-compulsive related disorder. Treatment is provided by Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Psychology Registrars, as well as Provisional Psychologists and Psychiatry Registrars under the supervision of Clinical Psychologists. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is the first-line treatment for all consumers attending the Anxiety Unit. The Anxiety Unit is a part-time outpatient unit that operates during normal business hours, and will not be available to receive referrals or meet with consumers on weekends or public holidays. The service currently operates on Mon, Wed, and Thurs between the hours of 0830-1700.
