LLW@S Online Professional Learning  

 

Government Schools

Free, self-paced online training is available for NSW public school teachers. The training helps build knowledge and skills to put in place LLW@S.

This 3-module professional learning course uses the Health Promoting Schools Framework. It helps develop whole of school strategies that improve healthy eating and physical activity. These plans improve the health and wellbeing of students and the school community.

NSW Department of Education’s MyPL system manages enrolments. Search ‘Live Life Well’ or the course codes below:

  • Module 1 (2 hours): MyPL course code RG13809- Physical activity, healthy eating, learning and wellbeing
  • Module 2 & 3 (6 hours): MyPL course code RG13811- Identifying and prioritising school needs, planning for quality implementation

Catholic and Independent Schools

The Association of Independent Schools (AIS) NSW is offers free LLW@S online training modules to all non-government schools in NSW. The self-paced modules help teachers work towards a whole-school approach to physical activity and healthy eating. AIS online modules are available to all independent and Catholic schools teaching the K-6 syllabus.

LLW@S Professional Development sessions 

The Western Sydney LLW@S team offer a 1.5 hour workshop for staff members at your school.

This covers a whole-school approach to healthy eating and physical activity. It also covers a practical update on teaching fundamental movement skills.

PDHPE Network

The Western Sydney LLW@S team provide professional development for teachers in NSW. The PDHPE Network is a 1.5 hour training session for teachers after school each term.

Local schools host the network.
