 Government Schools

NSW public school teachers can build their knowledge, skills and confidence in implementing Live Life Well @ School through free online training. A series of five courses are available, covering nutrition education and physical activity, including fundamental movement skills, in line with the K-6 Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) syllabus and the NSW Department of Education Wellbeing Framework. Course one, ‘Establishing a health promoting school’, is a prerequisite and provides six hours of NESA professional development. On completing course one schools are eligible for a one-off $500 grant to support implementation of their plan of action.

Enrolments are managed through NSW Department of Education’s MyPL system – by searching ‘Live Life Well’. Interested teachers should seek their principal’s approval to enrol. For more information contact LLWS@det.nsw.edu.au

 Catholic and Independent Schools

The Association of Independent Schools NSW is now offering free LLW@S online training modules to all non-government schools in NSW. These self-paced modules are designed to assist teachers in understanding a whole-school approach to physical activity and healthy eating practices in a school context. AIS online modules are available to all independent and Catholic schools teaching the K-6 syllabus.

For enrolment and further information search ‘Live Life Well’ on the AISNSW site
