Blacktown Hospital has been a leading example for Electronic Medical Records (eMR) and Electronic Medication System (EMS) in NSW. It was the first site in Australia to have full eMR utilisation for two years prior to EMS implementation. With the world-class infrastructure in place and cutting edge technology, Blacktown Hospital offers the best research opportunities in digital health space. With a new clinical services building opened in 2016 and another state of the art facility due to open this year with a 2:1 device-to-patient ratio, Blacktown hospital offers the best possible infrastructure for our clinicians and researchers to study various ways to improve the care we provide to our patients as well as improve the organisation processes using Health Technology.
