Guidelines for the use of antifungal agents in haematology and stem cell transplantation patients developed by the Australian and New Zealand Mycoses Interest Group (ANZMIG) can be found at Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases.
The guidelines were developed in collaboration with Prof. Monica Slavin, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Melbourne, and other members of ANZMIG. They also incorporate recommendations for their use in the intensive care population and in paediatric patients. The guidelines encompass the use of antifungal drugs in the prophylaxis against invasive fungal disease, in empiric antifungal therapy, as well as recommendations for treating yeast and mould infections, in antifungal drug assays and environmental monitoring and testing.
