Scholarships offer financial aid to eligible students to help pay for costs associated with higher education such as course fees, textbooks, equipment, tuition, accommodation etc.

There are a range of scholarships offered to domestic students for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in most disciplines of health care. The list below provides students with a selection of Institutions that offer scholarships.

The Australian Nurses’ memorial Centre (ANMC) Postgraduate scholarships for nurses and midwives.
The Mary Mackillop Foundation
  • Scholarships available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students (any discipline of healthcare)
  • Students interested in applying for a Mary Mackillop Today First Nations Tertiary Scholarship will need to apply directly through the Tertiary Institutions they are being offered at.
Australian college of midwives HESTA and ACM scholarships Midwifery students (one per state and territory)
Elsevier Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Midwifery Scholarship Post graduate midwives and midwifery students.
Australian Rotary Health Scholarships are awarded to Indigenous students with expenses while they undertake a course in a wide range of health related professions.
Australian dental association Grants and scholarships awarded to eligible postgraduate dentists, dental hygienist and oral health therapist students and dental scholarships for students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background.
Australian Rotary Health
  • This program provides scholarships which can be used to assist Indigenous students with their day-to-day expenses while they undertake a course in a wide range of health related professions. The scholarship is paid in addition to the Government Abstudy allowance.
  • The purpose of the program is to assist students to gain an education which will in turn enable them to use this education for the benefit of Indigenous people.
