Westmead Hospital is a specialised tertiary referral hospital for the western metropolitan area, which has a population of 1.5 million people and 15 local government areas. The District is also home to a significant Aboriginal community, with 1.4% of Western Sydney residents self-identifying as Aboriginal.
It is the major teaching hospital of the University of Sydney for medical and dental students and one of Australia’s largest centres for postgraduate training to specialist level in all fields.

Orange Health Service is a 520 bed public hospital located on the Bloomfield Campus, approximately km (2.mi) south of the City Orange, NSW.
It is the largest rural hospital in NSW and is operated by Western NSW Local Health District. The hospital was opened in 2011 co-located with the redeveloped Bloomfield psychiatric hospital, replacing Orange Base Hospital as the primary referral hospital for the Central West Region and beyond to Broken Hill.

Nepean Hospital is located at the base of the Blue Mountains in Penrith NSW, Australia. Penrith lies on the Nepean River and is one of the fastest growing areas in Sydney. There is easy access by car or public transport to Sydney City and also to all the attractions of the Blue Mountains National Park, such as the Three Sisters or further west again the world famous Jenolan Caves.

Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney for medical students and also provides nursing and allied health training for many other universities.
