Committed to Education

The Library is committed to evidence-based practice and lifelong learning and, in addition to services provided in the Library, also offers a ‘roaming librarian’ service to embed training and research assistance into clinical areas.

Facilities at Westmead Hospital Library have been recently upgraded by the University of Sydney, in partnership with the Western Sydney Local Health District. The refurbishment provides a contemporary education, training and research hub that supports the requirements of a growing multidisciplinary health environment. Key new features include the clinical exam and simulation rooms, a pathology tutorial room and areas zoned for flexible working including quiet individual study and group work areas.

University of Sydney Library staff are also available on-site to support University staff and students in achieving their research, learning and teaching goals.
