About Us
The Westmead Education and Conference Centre (WECC) is an education partnership between Western Sydney Local Health District and University of Sydney. It is a key facility for education, training and research at Westmead.
WECC facilities are available for all university and western Sydney local health district staff and students participating in education, training and research activities. It is also available to external patrons. The facilities need to be booked for events (see right hand panel for booking process).
Level 1 of the WECC has been refurbished to provide sophisticated, creative spaces that inspire flexible learning and teaching activities. State-of-the-art technology in architecturally designed rooms foster active learning and collaboration. These designs have been developed in consultation with the university and leading educational institutions from around the world. Read more about the level 1 refurbishment here. Facilities and equipment available
Fees, Terms and Conditions
Fees and charges are applicable for functions and bookings at the WECC. Current fees, charges and relevant terms and conditions can be found below:
WECC also has guidelines regarding the service of alcohol on our premises and the booking of facilities out of hours
Transport
Westmead Hospital is a short walk from Westmead train station and there is a bus stop near the main entrance.
Parking is available but limited during business hours.

Disability facilities
WECC is located on the same level of the main entrance, and is accessible by wheel chair.
Hearing aid loops are available for the John Loewenthal Auditorium.
Lecture theatre 1 (situated on level 2), and the case study, cabaret theatre and flexible teaching rooms (situated on level 1) have disability access.
