The Pituitary Centre - Westmead
The diagnosis and treatment of pituitary diseases requires input from a range of specialist services including endocrinologists, imaging specialists, the endocrine laboratory, neurosurgery and radiation oncology. The Pituitary Centre at Westmead provides a multi-disciplinary approach to management of these complicated disorders.
Our services include clinical assessment, MRI and CT scanning, dynamic endocrine testing of pituitary function, inferior petrosal sinus sampling and corticotropin-releasing hormone stimulation testing for Cushing's syndrome, trans-sphenoidal pituitary surgery, conventional and stereotactic radiotherapy.
We are also active in clinical trials of diagnosis and management of pituitary disorders. The focus of the service is a monthly combined pituitary clinic.
