Financial support for young people impacted during COVID-19
No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) provides interest-free loans for individuals or families on low incomes to access credit for the purchase of essential goods and services. As loans are repaid, the money is lent out to other members of the community to utilise this service. NILS Hotline: 1800 509 994
Council Rates and Hardship Policy
Residents and businesses who are having difficulty paying their rates can apply for financial relief under the Rates Hardship Policy. Eligible ratepayers can then enter into payment arrangements with Council here.
Council Late Payment Interest Waiver
Council will implement payment plans for, and waive interest on, late payments for Council Rates, where ratepayers satisfy the criteria (as set out in the Rates Hardship Policy). Visit here for information

Emergency Relief Assistance
Emergency Relief Assistance is a government funded service that provides a safety net for people experiencing financial distress or hardship and who have limited means or resources to improve their financial situation. This support includes assistance paying bills (EPA vouchers), food vouchers, household items, and referrals to crisis housing. Eligibility criteria applies.
