Volunteer opportunities
Our volunteers are currently returning with reduced services at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, following an extended suspension of volunteer programs due to COVID-19 arrangements.
Some roles may have limited opportunities during this phase of the return. The application process may also be delayed and we appreciate your patience.
Why volunteer?
Anyone over the age of 18 can volunteer their time and talents at Blacktown Mount Druitt Hospitals.
Your life experiences can help with support services for patients, clients, staff and members of the community.
As a volunteer you can also help us fundraise for special equipment purchases.
Volunteer services
You can be involved in a large variety of services including:
- aged day services
- cardiac rehabilitation
- community health
- dialysis
- emergency department supporting patients and staff
- gift shop fund raising
- hospital kiosk fund raising
- meal time assistance
- meet and greet ‘way finding’
- palliative care
- pastoral care
- pink ladies (ward assistance)
