The Western Sydney Local Health District’s Digital Health Strategy 2023 – 2028 envisions a future where the people of Western Sydney receive exceptional healthcare experiences through contemporary, digitally enabled, integrated and innovative digital health solutions. From improving patient outcomes and streamlining healthcare delivery to enhancing research, innovation and development, the potential for technology to revolutionise healthcare is limitless. 

 

The Strategy’s nine key Focus Areas are aimed at addressing the current and future needs of our patients, community, staff, services, and partners. By placing patients and the community at the centre of everything we do, we aim to provide personalised and proactive healthcare that supports individual needs and empowers them to take control of their own health and well-being.

Through advanced analytics, we can identify patterns and insights that inform our decisions, leading to more effective and efficient healthcare. At Western Sydney Local Health District, collaborating closely with our stakeholders, communities, and key partners to better understand their needs and challenges is a fundamental aspect of how we conduct our business. Our Strategy reflects the unique insights and perspectives we have gained through collaboration with our stakeholders, communities and partners and prepares Western Sydney to address the pressing issues facing our healthcare system today. 

Achieving our goals will require collaboration across our organisation, as well as with external partners and stakeholders, to identify and prioritise opportunities for digital solutions that make a meaningful impact on healthcare services, and patient experience and outcomes.
