They can also help you talk to health professionals so that you can understand medical procedures and routines and participate actively in decisions about your care.

How to contact an Aboriginal Liaison Officer

Aboriginal Liaison Officers are available at Auburn, Westmead, Cumberland, Blacktown, and Mount Druitt. The Liaison Officers sit in the social work department and works closely with social work officers for your health and wellbeing.

 

Westmead Hospital: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (excluding public holidays). You can also call (02) 8890 6699.
Auburn Hospital: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (excluding public holidays). You can also call (02) 8759 3000.
Blacktown Hospital: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (excluding public holidays). You can also call (02) 9881 1555.
Mount Druitt Hospital contact: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (excluding public holidays). You can also call (02) 9881 1555.
