Program for Clinical Educators, Stanford University

The WSLHD Research and Education Network (REN) recognises the importance of clinical educators and are dedicated to supporting them. As such, we have organised for Stanford University to run a four day intensive program for Clinical Educators. This program has been especially designed to enhance the effectiveness of clinical educators.

The training will include in-depth coverage of all 7 topics in the Stanford educational framework: Learning Climate, Control of Session, Communication of Goals, Promotion of Understanding and Retention, Evaluation, Feedback and Promotion of Self-Directed Learning.

In addition to helping participants apply concepts introduced in the training to their personal teaching practice, the Stanford facilitators will set aside time for the participants to formulate goals designed to improve the educational environment of WSLHD.

Highly engaged educators are vital in order to attract, engage and retain our junior doctors. The Stanford Program for Clinical Educators is a valuable program that inspires clinical educators.

Limited places available.
Program run in December each year.

Tanya Jolly, Manager Clinical & Corporate Education
