Visiting Hours

Blacktown Hospital visiting hours

  • 8:00am-8:00pm on most wards
  • Maximum of four visitors in most wards
  • Check with your ward as some special wards have restricted visiting hours and limits on visitor numbers
  • Maternity and Women’s Health wards 8:00am-1:00pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm; three visitors only
  • Newborn Special Care Nursery 10:00am-1:00pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm; three visitors only (including at least one parent)

Mount Druitt Hospital visiting hours

  • General wards - 10:00am-1:00pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm
  • Palliative Care Ward - 24 hours
  • Children's Ward - 10:00am-8:00pm (rest period from noon-2:00pm)

Visitor's Rules

Blacktown hospital allows a maximum of four visitors in most wards.  Check the visiting hours fact sheet for more information on visitor numbers in each ward.

Mount Druitt hospital ask that each patient have no more than two visitors at the one time.

Children coming to the hospital are to be accompanied by an adult and must remain with an adult at all times. For safety reasons we ask that children not be left unattended while they are in the hospital.

If it is necessary for a group of people to visit a patient at the one time, please first contact the Nursing Unit Manager to seek the availability of a suitable area to accommodate the visitors.
